The STEM Educator of the Year competition and award is presented by Dhia: Engineering Leaders, an initiative of Texas A&M University at Qatar and Maersk Oil Qatar. Dhia supports development of Qatar’s knowledge-based economy through outreach and enrichment programs designed to inspire Qatar’s youth to select educational pathways in science, technology, engineering and math. STEM education in primary, preparatory and secondary schools is central to these efforts, and the STEM Educator of the Year award is intended to recognize outstanding educators whose work contributes to outstanding STEM education in Qatar.
